Welcome to the community site of the ITCH Network . Here ITCH members and volunteers collect content that assists them in helping clients.

The ITCH Network is a voluntary UK-wide organisation that provides computer assistance to individuals with disabilities in their homes and at other locations such as day centres.

As a community site all pages and content are created by the members for their own use. It is an example of a 'wiki' web site. Here you can find:

  1. notes, suggestions, guidance, tutorials, articles and reviews to assist in fixing problems or assisting clients;
  2. guidance sheets for clients on topics such as using AT, creating documents, using the internet and security;
  3. useful resources and web sites;

General Computer and Web guidance suitable for users

BBC Computer Tutor is a really useful starting point for absolute beginners on Microsoft Windows.

My Web My Way is a good introduction to pass on to ITCH clients. It describes Web and computer options that improve web access and covers, Windows, Mac and Linux. It is newer and more wide-ranging than [My Computer My way and ] which is specific to XP and older versions of Office.
