Packages for working on Difficulties

===Working on difficulties=== (original text)
Computer software can provide dyslexics with a stimulating way of learning and working on their specific difficulties. Programmes such as Phoneme Track (Semerc) and Word Shark (WhiteSpace) can help with areas of weakness. It is also possible to use the sound recorder to help with spelling and use graphics combined with sound to provide interesting and accessible worksheets that are designed to help with skills such as the recognition of complex irregular words or to learn basic units of sound. The advantages for a dyslexic individual are that they can use repetition and sometimes in my experience its been surprising how often they will repeat information and how ‘long’ a worksheet can last for. Putting an individual in charge of their own learning and enabling them to move on based on their own self assessment is a great advantage and can help with self esteem and feelings of progress so often lacking in their learning.
